  1. What do I need to use the platform?
    You need a computer, good Internet connection, camera (built-in or external), microphone, headset and motivation.
  2. What is the price?
    We don’t determine the price. We give you the opportunity to get the best training with the best tutors. Prices vary based on the subject and the tutor you choose to work with. Additionally, there’s a difference between the prices for an individual lesson and a group lesson.
  3. When are the lessons take place?
    It depends mostly on you. If you choose individual lesson, you should choose the tutor you will work with, and discuss with him/her when to start, how many lessons per week you will take, etc.

    If you choose a group lesson (if the tutor provides it), you should fill out a form that includes the subject, level/grade and the chosen tutor. The platform will notify you automatically when the group has enough participants and when you can start. The better you filter the set criteria, the faster you can start a new group lesson.
  4. How do I make the payment?
    You can pay by debit or credit card, bank transfer, PayPal or voucher. It usually takes 1-2 days before we receive the payment. The money you deposited will be shown in the form of monetary credit in your profile/classroom. From that deposit the system will take automatically money for each class you have takes based on the price of the tutor and the lessons taken. You will be automatically notified when your balance decrease so that you can put more money in your user account.
  5. How do I pay for content?
    You choose the content you want to watch and pay with the money you have deposited in your user account in the system.
  6. How will I know that my child’s lesson has passed effectively, not playing video games?
    Each lesson is recorded and archived. You can see how the training process has been carried out, and how effective it has been according to you. Moreover, your child may watch the lesson again in order to fill in any gaps it has.
  7. If I get sick or miss a lesson for some reason, do I pay for it?
    Yes. However, unlike offline educational centers, we give you the opportunity to watch the recorded lesson, and you will not miss any material taught in class. In case of individual lesson, the lesson is rescheduled to another day, but you have to give a prior notice to your teacher or to us at least 6 hours in advance.
  8. How is Yourtutor.us different from the other tutoring platform? Why should I choose you?
    Unlike most online tutoring platforms, which uses skype or google hangouts we offer a professional virtual classroom designed for teaching. This will allow your teacher to give you the same quality of service as he does offline. In additional you can take tests on our system and watch any video course, which the teacher has prepared for you. From technical point of view, our platform is one of the best in the world, which you can see from the sample video or in your test classroom.
  9. I don’t know what my level of language proficiency is.
    There are some entry level tests, which you can take in your user interface. Besides, during your first lesson, the teacher will give you a test and determine your level of language proficiency.
  10. What should I do if I have a technical problem?
    Discuss the problem with your teacher or call the technical support, and we will solve the problem as soon as possible!
  11. What am I getting for my money?
    You will get a personal tutoring with the tutor of your choice at a convenient time, recording of your lessons, and a security for your money (if something happens you can claim it from us, not to chase the tutor).
